Valentina’s research focuses on developing and implementing a likelihood algorithm aimed at enhancing constraints on the optical depth at reionization. By leveraging high-precision polarization data from both the WMAP and Planck satellites, her work refines our understanding of this key cosmological parameter. The improved constraints on the optical depth at reionization have important implications on related parameters, such as neutrino masses and properties, enabling a deeper comprehension of the early Universe.
