µRTube
P.I.: Riccardo Farinelli
The µRTube project, funded by INFN CSN5 with a young scientist grant, aims to extend particle detector technology. Based on Micro Pattern Gaseous Detector (MPGD) technology and focusing on the µ-RWELL, the project seeks to optimize the detector's geometry for low cost and large area use while retaining the same performance. The goal is to prove the concept's advantages in High Energy Physics (HEP) and non-HEP fields.
The project involves designing and constructing a single-stage amplification MPGD overcoming the current mechanical limits; develops full detector simulation and reconstruction algorithms.
