NUCLEUS is an experiment that aims at the detection of coherent scattering of neutrinos by atomic nuclei. The experimental setup will be assembled at the Chooz nuclear power plant (France) and will be based on a crystalline target of 10 grams of sapphire and CaWO4 with signal reading performed by superconducting transition sensors. The experiment aims at measuring the cross section of the process with an accuracy of 20% with a data taking lasting less than one year. The project is carried out with the collaboration of institutes from Germany, France, Austria.
