JUNO (Jiangmen Underground Neutrino Observatory) is a neutrino and antineutrino detector, composed fo 20000 tons of scintillator liqui that will acquire data in the years 2020-2030 at the homonymous underground laboratory in the Jiangmen region (southern China). The main scientific objectives are the study of the neutrino mass hierarchy through direct measurements of reactor antineutrinos, as well as the measurement of atmospheric, solar and supernova geoneutrinos and neutrinos. The INFN Ferrara group designs the distillation and purification plants for the scintillator liquid; moreover characterises the SiPM of the TAO detector and studies the signals produces by the geoneutrinos.
