Automatic Informations

Similarly to the case of the fixed format automatic e-mail produced by the on-line quest (section [*]), the main characteristics of the burst candidate that are automatically yielded, once this is detected, are explained through an example reported below: in this case, the GRB970117, occurred at UT 14:46:50, has been considered. First of all, the Sun R.A. $\alpha_{\odot}$ and declination $\delta_{\odot}$ (hereafter, all celestial coordinates are referred to J2000.0 and are expressed in degrees) at the burst time are computed and transformed into their corresponding BeppoSAX local coordinates $\phi_{\odot}$ and $\theta_{\odot}$: these are reported within the first three lines. Then, two lines reporting the four $\alpha_i$ (``LSra'' in the table) and $\delta_i$ (``LSde'') ($i=1,\ldots,4$), respectively are given, expressing the pointing directions of the normal axes to the four GRBM units. Of course, these values do not significantly change during the entire observation.

Now we limit our attention to a few lines, the remaining being very similar or even identical to their analogous ones in the case of the fixed format e-mail described in section [*].
