7. Suspected Terrestrial Gamma-ray Flashes

The Terrestrial Gamma-ray Flashes (hereafter TGFs) are charachterized by very short duration (1-4 ms) pulses and they have been discovered with BATSE ([Fishman et al., 1994b]). They seem to be connected with powerful thunderstorm activity. All the GRBM events lasting within single 1 s bins and that seem likely to come from the Earth atmosphere, are classified as Suspected TGFs.
