Dark Matter search in Dwarf Galaxies

The application of oriented crystals to develop an ultracompact crystalline calorimeter for a space mission dedicated to the search of dark matter annihilation in dwarf galaxies has been presented at the XV International Conference on Gravitation, Astrophysics and Cosmology (ICGAC15), July 3-7, 2023, Gyeongju, Korea and Advances in Space AstroParticle Physics, Frontier technologies for particle measurements in space ASAPP 2023, June 19-23, 2023, Perugia, Italy. The main idea is to use oriented crystalline calorimeters to detect high-energy gamma rays coming from compact objects with a high concentration of dark matter, such as Reticulum II dwarf galaxy. The work is in progress in collaboration with the Brown University.
