Overview

This meeting is held in memory of Professor Emeritus Giovanni Fiorentini, a true physicist leader who served the University of Ferrara, the National Institute of Nuclear Physics and the Consortium "Future in Research" with distinction and dedication for many years.
He worked tirelessly to study neutrinos and applications of Nuclear Physics to different disciplines, such as Astrophysics, Earth Sciences and Nuclear Medicine. He also played a pivotal role in supporting the scientific growth of students and young researchers in the world through his creative and enthusiastic work.
Throughout his distinguished career, he was wise and infinitely generous with his time. In recognition of his many achievements, this commemoration day is a tribute to Gianni, as a scientist, leader, mentor, and friend. All community members, alumni and friends are invited to attend this special event.


The commemoration ceremony will take place on Friday October 21st (9.30 – 15.00) at aula magna of Palazzo Mosti (Department of Law), Via Corso Ercole I D'Este 37, 44121 Ferrara.
