STRATEGY ========================================== 1) Optimize the response of the higly configurable INFN frontend electronics based on maroc3 chip using charge analog output and a laser source at spe level. 2) Investigate binary digital output as faster alternative to the analog output. 3) Fix a calibration protocol 4) Implement a completly digital readout 5) Test and characterize the new digital readout 6) Write user documentation REPORT 1 : Period 2013 May 6th - June 7th ========================================== - Setup successfully installed (Laser, H8500 mapmt, TDAQ system) - Analog output studied as function of different tunable capacitors and preamplifier gain. - Charge measurements calibration in both external and self trigger mode - Digital Threshold characterization - Dark background studies
