Camille Demay is a PhD student of the National Doctorate in Space Science and Technology, which has it’s administrative headquarters at the University of Trento . This PhD programme “aims to train young experts in the fields of science, engineering, technology, and international relations in the space sector, providing them with the knowledge, skills, and competencies needed in the research areas of interest to the participating universities and research institutions.”

At the end of the NPAC master programme in Paris, Camille completed his master’s internship at the Centre de Physique des Particules de Marseille in 2025. He worked on growth rate of structure measurements at low redshifts derived from redshift space distortions and peculiar velocities surveys. By computing forecasts, he quantified expected constraints from current and future surveys and assessed the power of these measurements to discriminate between modified gravity and dark energy models.

During his three years in Ferrara, Camille will apply the knowledge he acquired during his studies and previous internships to work on CMB data analysis. He will work on the development of spin-based mapmaking for CMB, a formalism that enables fast and precise simulation of systematics effects and their potential mitigation.
