Focusing optics

Like in the visible portion of the electromagnetic spectrum, also in the X-ray band the use of focalizing optics is necessary to deepen our knowledge about objects with a very low flow. Our goal is to build optics that can effectively focus photons with energies above 10 keV by means of Laue lenses. We are in the process of studying the optics based on mosaic crystals, crystals that are commonly used to diffract X-ray photons but never employed as concentrators.
